New video up on my humble youtube channel, this is for anyone who wants to hear me talk about my city for 11 mins. If that's you, check it out.

dariusf11 / Collection
Just added my cassette collection to Discogs. I started collecting tapes last year, when I bought an old car with a tape deck and I wanted something to listen to. Finding cassettes out in the wild of music that I actually want to listen to has been a fun challenge. I don't think the format will make a comeback anywhere close to vinyl, but I kind of like that it's a niche thing anyway.

RESOLUTION TIME
One year, I made a resolution to read more books. It was part of a conscious effort I was making to train my brain, work on my attention span, reduce screen time, whatever else. Plus, I like books. I like looking at them, I like how turning the pages feels. I have a "shame stack" of books I've picked up and haven't got around to reading. I like to read a mix of fiction and non-fiction. I've always liked libraries.
I'm pleased to say that since that New Year's resolution, I've maintained the habit over the years. Happy New Year all, whatever your resolution may be, I wish you luck in 2025.

The best is yet to come
In the past 5 years, I have:
Moved across the country and back (Drove 4200 km)
Graduated
Quit drinking alcohol
Picked up new hobbies
Experienced joy
Loved
Lost
So when I say the best is yet to come, I truly believe it. Whoever you are, if you're going through it right now, just keep going.

I have a YouTube channel where I upload gaming stuff: Link
I enjoy modern and retro games of many differnt genres. City-builders, sports/racing games, RPGs, FPS, platformers, etc.
Haven't been doing much with my channel, but every now and then I get inspired to make a video. Mostly to share with friends, but if more people watch, that's nice I guess.
Speaking of not doing much, what should I do with this website?

Hello World!
In spite of how it may look, this is not my first website. When I was 10 or 11, I made a website on Angelfire (remember Angelfire?). It was called Pokémon Tower, and it was about... Pokémon. It was amateurish, but it was mine. Sadly, my first website met an abrupt demise one day, when it got hacked. Whoever hacked me left a helpful message though, something along the lines of "haha dumb kid should've made a better password". I never forgot that lesson.
